EPISODE 7 WHEN SURPRISES AND MIRACLES CAN HAPPEN.
THE FIRST THING I NOTICED when I started this routine was the fact that my hair had still the relaxed structure three months later even my new growth seemed to look very soft and relaxed. IT was very strange, I didn’t expect this.
For someone we need to relaxed every two month, you can imagine the surprise. DAYS after days, then months so in one year my hair was looking like it was “relaxed” but in the same time my new growth were very soft. About one year and half later I realized that all my hair became “nappy” or in their natural soft state. EVEN THE RELAXED PART. VERY STRANGE BUT I was HAPPY because they were SOFT, SHINY, QUITE LONG and STRONG.
AND ALL THIS HAPPEN WITH ME not spending almost nothing. And I was applying a cream based with coconut oil mixed with jojoba oil and some African herbs from my own village made by one of my relatives. After washing my hair I put this cream and style it with thread( back to my childhood again but for good this time) for two or three days, it became more soft then I style it with braids.
I need to confess I am lazy with my hair it was never about showing them in an afro because it’s too hot for me or show how long they are, I looove to have my neck free, SORRY. MOST OF THE TIME I wear in braids or thread them. It’s only when I go to a party or an important meeting (like job interview, and yes I got all my jobs that way) that I let them free. I prefer to protect them and cut the ends occasionally.
TO SUM IT UP if you don’t want the big chop YOU STILL CAN BECOME NATURAL AND TRANSITIONING IF YOU FOLLOW THIS RULES UNTIL YOUR HAIR CHANGE THEIR STRUCTURE FOR GOOD.
IT HAD WORKED FOR ME.
NEXT EPISODE 8 WHEN FOOD AND CULTURE ARE RELATED TO YOUR HAIR.
Minasek,
RépondreSupprimerThank you for posting your entire story. This was a fascinating story on your hair history. I have to admit that I have never put egg in my hair.
I think what you refer to as structure, I call texture. I am fine with mine as is and don't really need to change it or loosen it. I also know that moisture is a key element is very important to keeping it soft. I think your kitchen beauty routine has the same result for your hair that the coconut cream deep conditioner does for my hair. If you take extra careful hair of your hair even the back of your hair will grow to the same length as the rest of your hair.
Your hair really does look pretty good. Keep babying it, it will respond!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH THAT' S WHY I THINK HAIR STORIES ARE VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE WE DON 'T HAVE THE SAME ROUTINE AT ALL. AND WHEN I GO TO YOUTUBE I AM MOST OF THE TIME LOST BY THE AMOUNT OF METHODS DISPLAYED. FOR THE STRUCTURE IN FACT I WANTED TO WRITE TEXTURE BUT ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE SO SOMETIMES I MIXED UP WORDS. GOD BLESS.
RépondreSupprimerThe results of your kitchen beauty program is similar to my coconut cream deep conditioner. Moisture is the key to soft hair. I am glad to see that you are happy with your outcomes. And if you pay special attention to the nape of your neck, I bet that hair will grow as long as the rest of your hair. Thanks so much for sharing your story!!
