A HUGE GOOSE LOL... AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS

A VERY QUICK POST JUST TO WISH ALL OF YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS.

AND  LIKE I TOLD YOU, I WILL EAT THIS YEAR A GOOSE. SO I WENT TO BUY ONE AT THE FRESH MARKET THINKING THAT I WOULD  FOUND   A SMALL ONE LIKE 2 KG.

AT MY SURPRISE , I HAD TO BUY A BIG ONE WEIGHTING 5 KG. HAD NO CHOICE.LOL.
BACK AT HOME ( IT WAS SO HEAVY TO CARRY) I NEEDED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MANAGE IT  BECAUSE IT WILL BE ONLY FOR MY SISTER AND ME. ( YEAH! I AM STAYING IN LONDON).

FIRST I HAD TO  CUT OFF THE MAXIMUM OF FAT AND I SWEAR THE FAT ONLY MUST HAVE BEEN AT 2 KG. LOL.

THEN I CUT IT IN HALF. I WILL MARINATE  AND COOK IT  FOR THE DINNER WITH ROASTED POTATOES AND CARROTS. THE OTHER HALF WILL BE CUT IN TWO AND LET IN THE FREEZER FOR NEXT YEAR SURE.....LOL,

TO BE HONEST I WAS A LITTLE BIT WORRIED  ABOUT WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THIS BIG BIRD BUT AGAIN I FIND A WAY. LOL

AGAIN I HOPE, ALL OFF YOU , CHRISTIANS OR NOT WILL SPEND A QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY THIS NEXT 2 DAYS.
            MERRY CHRISTMAS OR JOYEUX NOEL!
( don't forget I DO SPEAK FRENCH)

BANTU KNOTS " try 2" : SHORT STYLES EXPERIMENTS

I KNOW IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE MY LAST POST BUT I HAVE  SO MUCH TO DO. EVEN FOR MY HAIR,  IT HAS TO BE  QUICK AND SIMPLE.

I WAS THINKING THAT BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS EVE/ DINNERS ( I WILL ATTEND AT LEAST 4 DINNERS THIS YEARS)  I NEED AN EASY HAIRSTYLE.

WHY NOT TRY A VERY SHORT ONE SINCE I DECIDED TO NOT COMPLAIN OR "FIGHT" MY SHRINKAGE.LOL

THE EASIEST WAY TO SUCCEED IS BY DOING SOME BANTU KNOTS, SO THE DEFINITION WILL BE INTERESTING, ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM NOT THAT GOOD WHEN IT COMES TO STYLE PROPERLY MY HAIR.

I WILL PRETEND FOR 1 WEEK TO HAVE SHORT HAIR. PLUS IT'S NOT LIKE I ALWAYS WEAR IT LONG SO WHERE IS THE CHANGE FOR ME.LOL

I ALSO HAVE 2 DAYS TO SHOP MY OWN FOOD AND THIS YEAR I AM MAKING A GOOSE. YEAH.

I NEVER EVER  LIKED THE TURKEY (BLEND AND TASTELESS ) AND WHEN I WAS YOUNG MY MUM WERE COOKING LAMB OR PORK  ( IF I WAS IN CAMEROON IT WILL BE GOAT, PORK AND CHICKEN).
I RATHER COOK A DUCK BUT I WANT A GOOSE THIS YEAR. NO BEEF, NO LAMB AND NO FISH. IT WILL BE A CHANGE FOR ONCE.

I STILL NOT DECIDED WHAT WILL BE MY STARTER AND MY DESERT SO STAY TUNES, IF YOU CAN ....LOL

BYE BYE MADIBA

                                           RIP NELSON   ROLIHLAHLA   MANDELA
                                           18 th JULY 1918- 5th  DECEMBER 2013

I WILL JUST MAKE A QUICK POST TO SAY........
A BIG THANK YOU TO TATA MANDELA.
NOW I KNOW THAT HE WILL REALLY REST IN PEACE. BECAUSE EVEN IF HE  RETIRED FROM POLITICS, HE WAS STILL A HUGE INFLUENCE FOR ALL ESPECIALLY AFRICANS.

AND TO BE HONEST WHEN YOU ARE ALIVE YOU CAN NEVER SAY THAT YOU ARE RESTING BECAUSE LIFE AROUND YOU STILL AFFECT YOU IN A CERTAIN WAY.

IN MY COUNTRY WHEN YOU PASSED A CERTAIN AGE FROM 90 AND MORE, NOBODY IS CRYING. WE DANCE, WE SING ....  WE  CELEBRATE THE LIFE.  EVEN IF AT THE END HE WAS QUITE SICK, I AM SO HAPPY THAT UNLIKE SOME AFRICAN FREEDOM'S LEADERS/FIGHTERS ( PATRICE LULUMBA, THOMAS SANKARA, STEVE BIKO, OUM NYOBE ETC ......) HE WAS ABLE AT LEAST TO SEE SOME CHANGES IN HIS COUNTRY WHEN HE WAS ALIVE.

HE WAS ABLE TO  WITNESS  AND BE INVOLVE IN   THE CHANGES THAT HE WAS FIGHTING FOR HIS BELOVED COUNTRY.

MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY.

I WANT TO SEND MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY AND  THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA
