YES, I AM AFRICAN : TRIBAL MAKE UP

I AM NOT SOMEONE WHO REALLY LIKE TO WEAR MAKE UP EVERYDAY. DON'T KNOW WHY? MAYBE BECAUSE WHEN I WAS YOUNG MY MUM WAS AGAINST IT AND WHEN I WENT TO UNIVERSITY EVEN WITH THE FREEDOM TO DO IT I JUST LOST INTEREST IN IT.
THEN I STARTED TO WORK PART TIME IN DISNEYLAND PARIS WHERE MAKE UP WAS QUITE FORBIDDEN EXCEPT I THINK FOUNDATION AND LIPSTICK.

MY ORIGINAL IDEA

PLUS I DON'T LIKE  THE DIFFERENCE THAT IT MAKES WHEN YOU TAKE OFF THE MAKE UP SOMETIMES IT LOOKS LIKE  IT  IS A DIFFERENT PERSON. I PREFER TO SEE PEOPLE IN NATURAL SO WHEN THEY  USE MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE MAKE THEM  LOOK BEAUTIFUL. BUT IF YOU SEE PEOPLE ONLY WITH MAKE UP EVERY TIME THEN THE DAY YOU SEE THEM WITHOUT  THEY LOOK  TIRED IN SOME CASE SICK. ( AKA ME)  LOL

MY FAVOURITE

ANYWAY BECAUSE I AM AFRICAN I WISH WE WILL BE MORE INTO WEARING OR MAKE UP QUITE DIFFERENTLY. THERE IS NO REASON TO APPLY "THE WESTERN WAY".  WHEN I WAS WATCHING THE DOCUMENTARY ABOUT AIDS I NOTICED THAT THE SOUTH AFRICAN FEMALE  INTERVENER WAS WEARING A VERY LIGHT "TRIBAL MAKE UP".
( I KNOW THAT'S JUST MAKE UP ANYWAY AND NOT TRIBAL BECAUSE IT IS NOT FROM A WESTERN TRADITION ).

THIS IS THE KIND OF SIMPLICITY  THAT I LIKE

SO  I DECIDE TO TRY IT ON ME FOR THE FUN AND MAYBE I WILL EXCEL BECAUSE IT IS NOT THAT EASY THAT IT SEEMS ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT SOME COLOUR LIKE WHITE.
IN THE BEGINNING I WANTED TO MAKE  1 LINE OF RED DOTS AND 1 LINE OF WHITE IN COORDINATION WITH MY SCARF BUT I COULDN'T FIND A WHITE SUBSTANCE SO I END UP USING  A BLACK PENCIL.

BETTER THAN A TATOO

I WANTED SOMETHING VERY EASY AND SIMPLE LIKE THE SOUTH AFRICAN WOMAN.
AND ABOVE ALLLLLLLL  I  LOOOOOOVE THE EFFECT ON OUR SKIN.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND TRY THIS NEW APPROACH OF MAKE UP NOT JUST FOR CARNAVAL .LOL

I TRIED MY BEST LOL

  2. I think it looks great. Be true to who you are and that means doing what you like not what society expects from you.
